Stanningley Albion JFC

Stanningley Albion JFC was formed in 1992 for the benefit of one age group (under 11s). The team progressed each year and continued to compete in the Leeds and District League, as under 18s.
In 1998, the parent committee realised that, with the team approaching open age football, the only way the Junior Club would survive was to introduce some younger teams. Knowing that other local teams were rejecting kids and with the decline in school football, it was felt that this would be of enormous benefit to the local community.
Two new teams were started at the Under 8 and Under 11 age groups and the club has grown each year since.
SAJFC were the first club in Leeds to be awarded the FA Charter Standard and now have ten teams involving 150 children.
